Opinionated?

No, I don't think I am. I am just passionate about my cause. I think I argue my side well, though sometimes I get too blown away. I need to be more focussed. That brings success. People might have different opinions, and of course need to better realize that. Just hurts when everytime there is nitpicking.

And today, pro war tirade

And today this email. It pains me to see such an attitude amongst educated people. If Don believes that I or any other non-American hate USA just for fashion, they are so wrong. We are pained by the unilateral selfish strategies of the headless people who are ruling this country. We are against the killing of innocent civilians (maybe Don missed the Body Count) just for the sake that Americans can be safer, have uninterrupted oil.

But, atleast quite a huge body of Americans I have talked to realize and are totally embarrassed by the self-destructive policies pursued by USA. They realize why Americans are now regarded as a filthy nation of greedy people, though once every person looked towards USA as a beacon for development, democracy, and freedom.

Shame on you, who can argue for war and destruction. Shame on you, who think that the rest of the world - the browns, the blacks, and the yellows - are there to serve the white man, and dare not challenge the system developed by them.
Capitalism and greed should be universal, and every other form of benevolence is evil. Shame on you.

Subject: Why The World hates America?

I stumbled upon your web site today.
You must not hate America *that* much since you came here for you graduate education.  All the people bitching and moaning about what a horrible country America is are the same ones clamoring to get into America to enjoy what we have to offer ingrates like you. Of course, I realize you have been sheltered in the academic community for most of your adult life.

Do yourself a favor:  Archive all of the socialist writings you have on your web site in a virtual time capsule.  After you have been in the *real* world either holding a *real* job or running a *real* company for about ten years, open your virtual time capsule and re-examine the contents of your web site.  If you have any intellectual honesty left you will discover a 180 degree change in your outlook.

"I ask when has USA helped other nations in toppling dictators? [Sic]" For starters, do the names Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito ring a bell? Regardless of the political elites motivation for invading Iraq (remember Clinton signed the "regime change" order) is the world a better plac

A song I heard today

Today I heard a song sent by someone in a mail that is the most beautiful rendition of a ghazal I have ever heard before.
Huzur is kadar bhi na itrakey chaliye, khuley aam aachal na leherakey chaliye. Awesome...

Also saw a great movie. Absolute fun. Eurotrip. Go and see if you have not.
The great song - scottydoesntknow :-)

Testing out some more stuff

What happens to the above post. If it does what it should, viola you can see my bookmark page
http://www.cs.rice.edu/~santa/bookmark.html

Hmm.....so this is my new blog page. Starting on Feb 19, 2004 after long discussions with my roommate Anshu who convinced me to start going and reading the blogs. I feel this will help me organize my random thooughts better and easier to share with people. Web Blogs are so much better to organize thoughts that I used to before - email and txt files.
